40th National Day in Sultanate of Oman

Sultanate of Oman  celebrated its 40th National Day on 18 November with lots of pomp. Most cities in Oman are in array of colors as buildings and streets are lit up with decorative lighting.Sultan Qaboos began his rule on July 23, 1970, but the National Day is celebrated on November 18, which is his birthday.

Here are few pictures of Salalah streets lit up for the National Day. This is the Clock Tower in the Airport Round about.

Decorative feature on each lamp post with colored serial lights. This is along the Al Rubat street

Along the Road leading to the Airport terminal.

Along Al Nadhah street  with painting of Sultan Qaboos taken in late evening.

Grand Mosque of Salalah lit up for the night

A HAPPY NATIONAL DAY CELEBRATIONS TO ALL MY OMANI FRIENDS AND COLLEAGUES.
